Clinician recruitment / Templates
Candidate follow-up texts you can copy today.
Every template below is under 320 characters, sounds like a person, and ends with a move toward booking. They are the messages behind the 60-second reply system, written for nurses and clinicians.
TCPA note: text only candidates who consented at application, honor opt-outs, and register your campaign with TCR.
The first reply (send within 60 seconds)
Hi Sarah, thanks for applying to the ICU nights role in Tampa. Quick one so I can point you at the right recruiter: are you FL licensed or compact? [Name] at [Org]
Pay question
Base is $48/hr with a $6 night differential, plus a $12,000 sign-on paid at 90 days. Want me to grab you 15 minutes with Dana tomorrow to walk through the full package?
Schedule question
Three 12s, self-scheduled in 4-week blocks, and charge does not take assignments. If that works, I can hold Thursday 10 or Friday 2 for a quick call.
Licensure question
FL or compact works. If you are licensed elsewhere, we cover the additional state and the timeline is usually 4 to 6 weeks. Want to talk it through with a recruiter this week?
Booking push (business hours)
Dana has Thursday at 10 or Friday at 2 open for a 15-minute call. Which works, or send me a time that does?
Booking push (middle of the night)
Since it is late, here is the short version: you look like a fit. Want a 15-minute call tomorrow morning? Tap here to pick a time: [link]
No reply, +1 hour
One thing I forgot: the unit is 1:2 ratios with no float to med-surg. Happy to answer anything else whenever you are back from shift.
No reply, +1 day
Still open to this? If yes, grab any time here: [link]. If the timing is off, tell me when to check back and I will.
Interview no-show, same day
Sorry we missed each other this morning. Shifts happen. Want to grab a new time? Thursday after 3 or Friday morning are open: [link]
Wrong timing, monthly
Hi Rob, quick update from [Org]: night differential went up to $8 this month. No pressure, just wanted you to have it. When does your current contract wrap?
License pending
Congrats on passing! When your license posts, I would love to get you in front of the ICU team. Want a pre-license call to get ahead of it?
Close the file
Should I close this one out, or is it worth 15 minutes? Either answer is fine, I just do not like leaving things open.
How these run automatically, at any hour, with a human taking over when needed: candidate engagement and speed to lead. The segments and sequences behind the nurture messages: candidate nurture.
Common questions
Straight answers
What should I text a candidate after they apply?
Within a minute: thank them, name the exact role, and ask one qualifying question that matters (licensure state or shift preference). Keep it under 320 characters and sound like a person, not a system.
How do I follow up with a candidate who stopped responding?
Add one new piece of information per message (a differential, a ratio, a schedule detail), then after two touches ask the direct question: should I close your file, or is it worth 15 minutes? The close-the-file message outperforms everything else.
Can recruiters text candidates?
Yes, with prior express consent captured at application, an opt-out in every program, quiet hours respected, and the campaign registered with The Campaign Registry. Text follow-up without consent and registration is a TCPA problem.
What is the best time to text candidates?
Immediately after they apply, whatever the hour, for the single first reply to their own inquiry. Follow-ups stay inside 8 AM to 9 PM local.
