AI agents / Transcripts

See the agent work, including when it stops.

Four conversations that show exactly how the agent is configured: a nurse applying at midnight, a patient checking insurance, a patient who mentions a symptom, and an interview no-show.

The third one matters most. A healthcare agent is defined by what it refuses to do.

Sample conversations with names and organizations changed. The orange lines are what the agent did in your systems; the green line is a handoff to a person. Anonymized production transcripts are available on a call.

Hi Maria, thanks for reaching out. Do you have insurance you would like us to check first?10:41 PM
Yes BCBS. But I have been having chest pain since this afternoon, can I get in tomorrow?10:42 PM
Handoff: symptom language detected. Agent stops scheduling. On-call nurse line notified with the thread.
Thank you for telling us. Chest pain can be serious. If it is severe, sudden, or you feel short of breath, call 911 now. A nurse from our team is being notified and will contact you shortly.10:42 PM

The agent never assesses symptoms or offers advice. Scripted safety language, immediate human handoff, and the thread goes to the right person. These rules are written with clinical leadership before launch.

RECOVERED
Hi Rob, sorry we missed each other this morning. Shifts happen. Want a new time? Thursday after 3 or Friday morning are open.10:20 AM
Got pulled into a double. Thursday after 3 works2:41 PM
Rebooked: Thursday 3:30 PM with Dana. Recruiter notified. No recruiter time spent.
Locked in Thursday 3:30 with Dana. Confirmation coming by text and email.2:41 PM

Most interview no-shows are nurses who got pulled into a shift. A friendly text with two times recovers them without anyone picking up a phone.

The rules behind every thread

  • Approved answers only. Pay, schedules, payors, and availability come from a bank the client signs off on. Anything else goes to a person.
  • No clinical content, ever. Symptom language stops the agent, triggers scripted safety language, and routes the thread to a named human.
  • Real actions, not chat. The agent books into the actual calendar and writes to the actual CRM.
  • Honest identity. It speaks for the organization and never claims to be human.
  • Lock-screen safe. Logistics only in message bodies.
  • Reviewed. Every escalation reviewed daily, a sample of transcripts weekly, by a named owner.

How these rules get written and tested before launch: how to set up AI agents for a healthcare company.

Common questions

Straight answers

What happens if a patient mentions a symptom to the AI agent?
The agent stops scheduling, sends scripted safety language (including when to call 911), and hands the thread to a person immediately. It never assesses symptoms or gives advice.
Are these real transcripts?
They are sample conversations written to show exactly how the agent is configured to behave, with names and organizations changed. Anonymized production transcripts are available on a call under NDA.
Where do the agent's answers come from?
An approved answer bank the client signs off on before launch: pay and schedules for recruiting, payors and availability for patients. Anything outside the bank goes to a person.
Does the agent pretend to be human?
No. It speaks for the organization, hands off by name when a person takes over, and does not claim to be human if asked.
